Yes, the Mini. NOT the S5, since I don't have one and don't really want to buy one, considering that I won't use it, ever. Anyway, the S5 Mini is a midrange smartphone released by Samsung in 2014, (it's 10 years old!) and considering it was midrange in 2014... yeah, it's awful now. But it's still interesting! With 1.5GB of ram and a midrange processor, the S5 Mini was decent in 2014, when it released on android 4.4.2 (KitKat), with an ok camera, ok amount of storage, and ok battery life, it was very forgettable, unlike it's big brother, the S5, which is still remembered as an amazing smartphone. But, the S5 Mini was still a good phone.
Now, in 2024, the S5 Mini's cameras are... as I have said, awful. It's rear camera now seems laughable, with appalling low light performance, and I won't even mention the selfie camera - ok, I will. At 2.1 megapixels... it's bad. Better than the Nokia N95 though! (the N95 is a phone from 2007) Android 6 would be ok, if only it worked decently. It is slow. Almost unbearably slow. The SETTINGS APP SOMETIMES FREEZES. THE SETTINGS APP FREEZES! SETTINGS! OUT OF EVERYTHING, IT'S SETTINGS! Ok, rant over. It's fine I guess. I'm over exaggerating when I say unbearable. It works, but it's slow. Apps wise, android 6 surprisingly still supports quite a lot of apps! More and more stuff is becoming unsupported, but most google services still work, and many games still run. Not WELL, but they do run. The browser is outdated, and fails spectacularly at most things, like attempting to download an apk file. so, anyway, the Galaxy S5 Mini is an interesting piece of history, often overshadowed by the far more popular Galaxy S5. However, it is funny how it's web browsers, BOTH of the built in ones, fail miserably with any task ever given to them. You can watch a video about this phone on my youtube channel, which you can find if you click on "what you (probably) came here for" section.
